APAC/MEA Young Changemakers Award Launches Call For Entries

PRovoke Media9th June 2022

The Young Changemakers Award, in partnership with WE Communications, celebrates the next generation of communications leaders, helps launch the careers of up-and-comers, and creates more opportunity for those in marginalized groups.

PRovoke Media is partnering with WE Communications to recognize and celebrate diverse young female communicators through the Young Changemakers Awards. These awards will celebrate the next generation of communications leaders, help launch the careers of up-and-comers, and create better equity and more opportunity for those in marginalized groups.

“This award is about the chance to create that change and give those kinds of opportunities to people who may not have had them ever before — people who are brave enough really to shout out what all of us here in this room could do better to move the industry forward in bold and new directions,” said WE global CEO Melissa Waggener Zorkin. Watch more from Zorkin in the video below.

Awards will be given annually – one per region in North America, UK/Europe, APAC/MEA – in alignment with the regional PRovoke Summits. We have currently opened entries for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East/Africa with a deadline of 15 July. The winner for this region will be recognized at PRovoke’s Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards in October.

There is no fee to enter this award. Entries can be submitted via the award’s dedicated portal. The inaugural North American Young Changemaker Award was won by Mubashira Farooqi, while UK/Europe recently honoured Sofiat Kolawole

The criteria for the awards varies based on region. In APAC/MEA, entrants must be a member of a minority community, aged between the ages of 22 and 29 as of entry date, and identifies as a woman.

Candidates will deliver a written submission and a video summary/pitch, more details on crafting the entry can be found here. Winners in each region will receive recognition on PRovoke Media, specialized professional development and attendance to premier industry events, and special access to industry executives at WE Communications and PRovoke Media. Details on what the winners receive can be found here.
