SINGAPORE — PRovoke Media’s Asia-Pacific Summit returns to Singapore on 13 October, with a host of PR industry leaders set to explore the profession’s increasingly vital role in the region.

The ninth PRovoke Asia-Pacific Summit will be held at Hotel Fort Canning, focusing on the theme of ‘Mission Possible’ — reflecting a complex environment that has been accompanied by a shift in societal expectations, increasing demands on companies, brands, and CEOs to take a stand — and in many cases take the lead.

Programme highlights include:

  • The future of the in-house comms role, based on exclusive CommsIndex findings, and featuring Diageo’s Azmar Sukandar, Arnab Roy Choudhury from Standard Chartered, Docquity’s Linda Lee and Ruder Finn’s Elan Shou

  • How corporate communications at Asian companies are evolving amid consistent upheaval, with Tencent’s Adam Najberg, Lazada’s Vanessa Seow, and Weber Shandwick’s Ken Hong

  • What digital transformation looks like tomorrow, with Okta’s Jennifer Alejandro and BCW’s Joe Peng

  • The future of the client-agency relationship, with Roche’s Shruti Bose, Allison Lim from the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, Singapore Maritime Foundation’s David Lee and Archetype’s Mabel Chiang

  • The challenges facing highly-regulated industries as they attempt to navigate digital reputation and regulation, with Google’s Meenu Handa

  • Exclusive research into the widely varying DE&I definitions, gaps and agendas among specific geographies and population subgroups in Asia-Pacific.

The Summit also includes a lunchtime showcase of 2022 IN2 SABRE Award winners, focused on digital and social media, data and analytics, and content creation. The same venue will play host to the 12th Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards on the 13th evening, recognising campaigns and agencies across the region that demonstrate the highest levels of strategic planning, creativity and business results.

As well as announcing winning campaigns, the SABRE Awards ceremony will reveal the Asia-Pacific Consultancies of The Year, celebrate the region’s Best Consultancies to Work For, and honour this year’s Individual Achievement SABRE recipients.

The Summit takes place in partnership with APACD, the region’s premier association for in-house communicators, which will host its AGM the day before the events.

In addition, the Summit and Awards have also attracted 17 further partners: Ruder Finn, Weber Shandwick, Archetype, FleishmanHillard, BCW, Sandpiper, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Zeno Group, Ogilvy, MSL, CARMA, Redhill Asia, Allison+Partners, GCI Health, ICCO, PRCA, GWPR and WARC.

The communications profession has never been more important to a company’s purpose, culture and strategy. Become a member of APACD and help advance our profession across the Asia-Pacific region.
