Corporate People News

HONG KONG – HSBC has promoted Lonnie Frisby (pictured), its acting regional head of communications commercial banking to the role of global head of wealth communications for its wealth and personal banking unit. Lonnie’s career with HSBC began in 2012 with comms roles in London, Geneva before Hong Kong. Prior to joining HSBC, worked for QBE Insurance, Legal & General and ING.

SHENZHEN – Michael Zhang Zhen has joined Yudo Auto as vice president, communications. Michael has both in-house and agency experience, primarily in the automotive sector, and comes to Yudo Auto from Bordrin, where he led communications for the electric car start up.

JAKARTA – Gojek has appointed Audrey Progastama Petriny, its vice president of corporate affairs strategy, to the role of vice president, corporate communications. Prior to joining Gojek, Audrey worked for AirAsia in a variety of comms roles and brings with her more than a decade of marketing and communications experience.

SHENZHEN – Annu Hu has joined ANdAZ Hotels as its director of marketing and communications for its Shenzhen location which is due to open this year. Anna joins from Grand Hyatt Shenzhen where she spent almost 6 years in comms roles.

MELBOURNE – ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) has tapped Kasey Glazebrook to lead communications for the organisation. Kasey comes to ACMI from BridgesPR and has more than 12 years’ experience in communications roles, primarily in the arts and entertainment sector, including roles with The Australian Ballet and with UK arts agency, The Corner Shop.

SHANGHAI – The a2 Milk Company has announced the appointment of Justin Bonnett to the newly created role of brand communication director, China, based in Shanghai. Prior to joining the a2 Milk Company, Justin was director of global business for DDB in Hong Kong.

HONG KONG – Tam Jai International has tapped Maggie Poon to lead corporate communications for the catering company. Maggie brings more than a decade of corporate comms experience, primarily in the luzury goods and jewellery sector and comes to Tam Jai from Global Group International, where she held the role of head of PR and communications, Chairman’s office.

SYDNEY — Following a competitive pitch, opr has been appointed by DocuSign to manage its communication and content business across Australia and New Zealand. opr has been appointed to re-position the DocuSign brand, as the company evolves to cover the whole of the agreement process from the preparation of agreements to eSignature, through to contract lifecycle management and payment.

MUMBAI — The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has appointed Pitchfork Partners Strategic Consulting as its public relations and digital counsel following a multi-agency pitch. Pitchfork Partners will ensure effective communication navigation for ASCI’s stakeholders to strengthen its position as an organisation dedicated to safeguarding consumers’ interests.

GURGAON — Scroll Mantra Private Limited has won the PR mandate for Airmeet, an all-in-one platform for virtual events, summits, meetup and workshops for communities and enterprises. Scroll Mantra earned the mandate after a competitive review in which several leading agencies participated.
